Let's Go For Ah Cheng Laksa

Let me tell you the story oh this ah cheng laksa. It started in 1955 in alor setar and expand business throughout klang valley in shopping centres. Signature foods are asam laksa, curry laksa and nasi lemak. Food taste is good. Price for sets only RM9.90 plus drink to choose from. You can have add-on for your dishes like soups, fish, eggs..etc. Come and have try on this! Of course, I still like the asam laksa from penang one especially the Air Itam one.

Starts from Killiney Road Singapore and transform into franchise brand.
A modern style and upscale than the normal kopitiam. Their breakfast especially french toast and hot beverages like brewed coffee n tea always popular among breakfast crowd. Killiney kopitiam preserve its hainanese tradition. I like then pandan kaya as it's thick and smooth with coconut eggs aroma. Thease are the signature menu. Besides, they also serve local delights like nasi lemak, mee siam, curry chicken etc.

PUCHONG YONG TAU FU...赞!

Many people would know that Puchong Kg Baru is famous with Yong Tau Fu besides Ampang and serdang one. Agree? YTF sold here is big and freshly made from fish paste. There is no meats one. It's made fresh upon ordering. They also serve simple chinese dishes like steam fish, stir fried vegetables, chicken wrap, tofu and other kind of dish. I've selected 5 pcs of YTF include brinjal, okra, bittergourd, fuzhuk and tofu.
They will stuff it with fish paste and cook. The YTF serve in  bowl of clear soups with vegetables.
Not bad...very nice! Environment OK and price wise is average.

Besides good for shopping, IKEA is also an ideal place to take breakfast. One sunday, we went to eat breakfast at IKEA. We had a 99 cent char kuoy teow. Very economic but the taste is ok. It sell up fast as many people choose to eat this. Also we tried the nasi lemak with otak, boiled eggs and chicken wings. Seem delicious. Plus one plate of english breakfast with sausages, eggs sandwiches and some baked beans.
Very healthy way of eating. For beverage, we had hot coffee but I find it not thick enough. Coffee flavours not that strong. I much prefer those rich with coffee aroma.

Best Soon Hing Wan Tan Noodles...Worth Try!

Here is famous with the wan tan mee and beef noodles. I prefer the dark sauces style. Noodles are perfectly cook. Let me talk on the wan tan char siew noodles first. The wan tan is filling well with lots of meats and the noodles itself have springy texture. Hmm...yummy 2. The char siew BBQ porks not so fat, just nice to eat. The wan tan soup is clear and sweet. Probably it is derive from achovy soups. I like it..very nice!
The beef noodles wan tan mee seem juicy and tender (tendons & meats).Do not have strong beef taste.
Frankly speak, I don't eat beef. This is base on my partner's comment. The beverage also OK.

Last sunday morning, we decided to have breakfast at Coliseum Cafe loacted at Plaza Jaya 33. We ordered COLISEUM BIG BREAKFAST PLATE to share. This big plate is good enough for two person's serving.

Also, 2 cups of HAINANESE COFFEE. This cafe is well know for western food infuse with local hainanese flavors. It's a hainanese cafe restaurant. The foremost outlet is located at Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman and this is the second outlet. The later one is at midvalley mall. A very old and authentic restaurant. It's the oldest cafe with 92 years of history.

Breakfast For Two...

Engglish Breakfast ( Eggs, bacon, sausages, fried potato, toast bread with butter, mushrooms & baked beans). I'd recommended you this value set of breakfast. Yummy...yummy!

Nihon Kai Japanese Restaurant (日本海)

Simple & Wonderful Grilled Salmon With Teriyaki Sauces

These are the dinner set from nihonkai restaurant. Look delicious isn't it? All sets are served with a bowl of rice, salad, cawanmushi and miso soups. For drinks, we have ocha (Green Tea) This are the only one restaurant where you can find 2 slices of salmon fillets. Normally only one slice is given. You can see 2 big slices of salmon fish fillets brushed with teriyaki sauces which are my favourite.  This is japanese style grilled salmon. I do like the salted style salmon with more crispy salmon skins and meats. This fish is well marinated with teriyaki sauces and not too dry. Besides, the fish meats are firm and fresh. Chawanmushi (Egg Custard) with ginkgo and mushroom is nice too. Finally, the tofu miso soup with seaweed, tofu and dashi stock taste good. It's so appetizing! Really must give it a try. There's also plenty of other japanese food like sushi and sashimi to try too.

Penang Road Famous Teow Chew...@ Klang Valley

1)Penang Laksa

I find that the asam laksa here is very nice. It can be as good as Joo Hooi coffee shop laksa in penang. The taste is very nice, made of fish based broth and shredded fish. Not too spicy or sour. The noodles (rice flour noodles) is nice too. Must try this! You can find it at klang valley here!

2)Famous Penang Chendol

Penang is famous with chendol & ABC. It's satisfying to have a bowl of cold chendol especially during hot weather. This chendol taste good with fresh coconut milk and sugar..

3)Hochiak..Penang Rojak with Cuttle Fish

I find this rojak special because of the mixed sauces and serve together with cuttle fish and peanuts.

Must try!! Different from the normal rojak we eat.

Good Char Siew Wan Tan Noodles & Bouncy Fish Ball Seaweed Noodles

Wan tan mee is one of my favourite noodles since my younger time till now :) I like char siew wan tan mee with wan tan soups. (Especially those handmade egg noodles)  Also, I like to eat dumpling too. It'd be nice to eat together with some green pickled chillies. Overall rating for this wan tan mee is average good.

The fishball kuoy teow soups with seaweed seem ok the taste. Big portion and clear soups. Plenty of fishballs. Nice and bouncy fishballs!

My Food Hunt @ Pasta Zanmai (Tropicana)

Pasta zanmai provide diversity of delicate and healthy japanese meals from ala carte to sets. First time try and find the food is good. Portion is big enough for us to eat. I order a set of grill cod fish with teriyaki sauces, with combination of vege (brocolli, small corn, carrot) while my dear order a full set of grill unagi fish top up with eggs with a bowl of salad and miso soups. For drinks, we have a jug of ocha. I quite like japanese food and it's good to eat once in a while rather than just chinese cuisines. Their way of eating is very healthy. Next time maybe try out their pasta and pizza....:) Will come back again....

Dinner @ Restaurant Kong Sai Paramount Garden (广西仔)

Restaurant Kong Sai have few branches which is located at Shah Alam, Kinrara etc. The one we visited is based at Paramount Garden, PJ. Very famous with the steam chicken , soups and some other dishes.
Our order 2 dishes : Steam chicken, fried bittergourd with eggs and black pepper pig stomach soups
Overall Rating : Good

STEAM CHICKEN 
The chicken meats are soft and tender. We like the sauces (mixed ginger+spring onion). Eat well with the steam chicken. Very yummy....

BLACK PEPPER PIG STOMACH SOUPS
Clear soups, not very strong pepper flavour and plenty slices of pig stomach....Personally I like the soup very much. Very seldom to have it at home unless there is certain occasion my mum will cook this soup.

FRIED BITTERGOURDS WITH EGGS
Nice! Bittergourds and eggs taste good together. Different from the normal one I eat. The bittergourds even more compare to eggs. No bitter...It'd be taste good if can cook a bit 'dry'.

Last saturday, we went to perfect living 2014 exhibition at PWTC. We spend whole day there morning to night looking for some household items and furnitures untill forgot dinner time. End up we went back PJ around 9 something and stop to eat the porridege at Hong Lim. Teow chew porridge and economic rice are sold here. Many varieties you can choose from like chicken, pork, vegetables, eggs....etc. Food taste is ok and price is affordable. If you come on lunch time, there are many sets available and price is even cheaper. 

Our order : 'Tong Choy' minced meats, braised peanuts, 'zha chai' , fungus meats and serve together with pumpkin porridges. Hmm...yummy...yummy!

Breakfast is the most important meals of the day. It provides us energy to do our daily activities :) and help you have a great day. It's the beginning of the day...help boast your energy level and concentration. Actually we are seeking for restoran shang yi fatt but is already shifted. So, we end up eat at this kopitiam which is nearby that area also.

Saturday Dinner @ KEE HIONG BKT SS2

Nice Bak Kut Teh 

The BKT here is nice. The soup has aroma herbal flavors to it. Meats are tender and easy to eat. A claypots contains all the mixture of meats, tofu, fuzhuk, mushroom and vege....It's enough for 2 person serving if you're not a big eater. The service of foods may take some time.

It's served with bowls of rice...to complement with garlic + soy sauces and dark sauces (hokkien style)

Remember to drink hot chinese tea....
