'One Stick' Pork Ribs

This dish is under chef's recommendation. The unique of it is the pork ribs itself is one full stick one without cutting into small pcs. It's cooked with superior sauces (Marmite Sauces). Thus, it taste sweet.
The meat itself is so tender and juicy. The portion is just nice (Medium size).

Stir Fried Brinjal With Prawns

Another dishes which is recommended by this restaurant. It looks delicious right? Something different than the usual stir fried brinjal that I eat before. It is cooked with brinjals, with plenty of prawns and a bit of salted fish. The salted fish add in flavor make the dish becomes more yummy. Overall, it taste and smells good.
If just the brinjals, the dish sure will very plain.

LOCAL DELIGHTS (MOONCAKE & BISCUITS)

Time flies...mooncake festival is just around the corner. Here, I'd like wish everyone a very happy mooncake festival. Are you looking for some traditional type of biscuits? Chin Han Guan is a place where you can get to buy many types of the traditional biscuits. The main product is the lotus meatfloss biscuits. This is original, signature and handmade biscuits. Of course they do sell other biscuits like' lor poh piah', 'chicken biscuits', 'tausa piah',etc. Here, I'd like to feature some mooncake from CHG, so called 'Teow Chew Mooncake'. Teow Chew Walnut Mooncake, with redbeans fillings and mixture nuts like walnuts .Melting Lotus Mooncake (Kwai Fa Piah) which look like 'kung zai piah' and with melon seeds on top of it. The small and round biscuits (in the picture), I don't know what the name is. It is filled with coconuts and black sugar. Hmm..Yummy :) Another one I'd like to introduce is the Bak Gua Mooncake, with fillings ham bak gua and lotus paste. Great Combination...
For me, I think use fresh ingredients are important in the baking process to ensure good quality of the biscuits.

Ipoh Fluffy Kaya Puffs (新荣香).

Fluffy Kaya Puffs

Do you like to eat kaya puffs? I myself like this type of pastry very much. The best kaya puffs that I've ever tried definitely is SIN ENG HEONG, IPOH. What so special? The sifu there posses 50 years of pastry baking experience, mainly on Kaya Kok. I heard that he learnt this from a master from HK.
They are fresh from the oven and bake daily. Miniture size, full fillings with kaya...which is very smooth and creamy. The kaya itself made from coconuts milk, eggs and sugar. I find the textures is crispy and the fillings not too sweet. Each kaya puffs is selling at RM0.80/pcs. They are packed in box (10pcs/box) or plastic container (5pcs/box). Overall, it's worth try. I like it!  Must have a try on this 'Ipoh Famous Kaya Kok.

Pork Ribs King

Pork Chop With Red Wine Sauces

Pork chops and sweet and sour porks are my favourite food. Last week, we went to try the pork chop with red wines. The flavor is just nice and the texture of the meats is tender. Set menu or ala carte are available with 'free ABC soups'. Food serving is fast. The environment is comfortable and nice too. Finally, price is affordable.

Nice & Yummy Vietnamese Food~~

1) Grilled Red Snapper
Do you fancy of vietamese food? During our recent trip to Ho Chi Minh, we had our dinner at an 'open air' stalls @ night time Ben Than market. We think of whether want to try out the 'Elephant ear fish' or 'Red Snapper'? Finally, decide to choose grilled red snapper fish, with the cooking style 'grilled' as recommended. The fish is fresh and taste good. Here, the location is crowded. However, the food serving is quite fast. You can see few cooks are busy 'pan fry' or 'grill' seafoods. There are many choices of seafood can choose from, such as prawn, crab, squids, snails etc. A lot of western tourists would like to eat here.
We ordered one fish couple with one plate of 'fried vegetables with garlic'. Served with 'hot rice' which is freshly cooked. Tasty and full of satisfaction....:)
