Butter Fried Prawn n Beancurd @ Serdang Home Cook
Yummy Fried Butter Prawn & Pi Pa Beancurd
Prawn is one of my favorite dish. It can be cooked in many ways like tomato ketchup, garlic, har lok, fried with oats, butter or etc. In CNY, we must eat prawn. Why? In cantonese, prawn is so called 'ha' like laughter, full of happiness. We serve prawn in the hope for a joyous new year :D
This plate of butter fried prawn is great. The prawn meats are fresh, nice and fill with butter taste. The special of this is they are fried in butter, garlic, chilly pepper and curry leaves. Yummy...finger-licking.
The beancurds in eggs white is also nice. They are handmade from crab meats and fish paste. Look appetizing isn't it? Also, it's served with some bak choy besides them.

Signature Dishes (Paradise Dynasty)
Signature 8 Flavours of Xiao Long Bao
We had our dinner at the Paradise Dynasty @ Paradigm Mall. The signature dish is the xiao long bao. Multi-color shanghainese soup dumplings. Each color represent different flavor. Got ginseng, original, foie gras, black truffles, crab-roe, cheese, garlic & sichuan. Erm...I'd more prefer the original taste. I find that they are not much different in term of flavor unless the one with garlic. Environment here is very good. Waiter service is efficient and friendly. The xiao long bao taste delicious when eat with black vinegar and some ginger. Next, I'd like to highlight the scramble egg white with fish and dried scallops. It taste as sweet like crab meats with eggs. What a amazing dish! Hmm...I like this too. The other 2 dishes is quite common which are fried spinach and sweet n sour porks. They are also taste nice. Overall is good. Before pen off, you can have xiao long bao also at Ding Tai Fung or Dragin-i.

Ho Ho Steamboat @ Sri Petaling
Sweet Time...Chap Goh Mei + Valentines Celebration
'Hotpot' or steamboat is very popular to serve during cny or throughout the year. For the chap goh mei plus the valentines celebration, we had decided to have steamboat at one of the restaurant called 'Ho Ho' at sri petaling. They have few branches. Another one is located at Balakong one. I like steamboat very much as I find it very healthy way of eating where the food is cooked in the hot soup. More importantly not oily. Hmm..can sit around the table and cook my own food. It's good to have it when weather is cold or winter time. The ingredients prepared by the restaurant were fresh from Pulau Ketam. Soup base is sweet and serve hot. 2 person portion is more than enough. Actually can cater for 3 person to eat. All ingredients include prawn, fish slices, dumplings, fuzhuk, fish balls, meat balls, tofu, vege (Long cabbages), eggs etc.
Chilly sauces and garlic oil is provided too.
It was raining heavily when the time we had steamboat there...Looking for something easy preparation? You can try cook steamboat at home. Choose ingredients that you like and at your own taste :)

Special Homemade Pao
The Pao is Something Different...
Last 2 weeks when I thronged thursday night pasar malam, I found these special pao. The black color one is charcoal pao with fillings yam inside and the golden yellow color one is with custard fillings. Not very fantastic...but taste nice. The pao's skin is thin and the pao itself is solf. In my opinion, I feel that the custard pao taste better than the yam one. The yam flavours are not that strong. If the pao maker put more yam into making the paste I think will more tastier. The custard paste just nice as you can feel it is melting when you eat the pao in hot. Anyway, can have a try on it...:) You can find them at Thursday Kajang Night Market.
