Authentic Hakka Dishes

This stall located @ PJ old town is famous with its authentic hakka dishes. Among the Yong Tow Foo are lady fingers, brinjal, ''fu zhuk'', bittergourd, white tofu etc. The fried fu zhuk and brinjal are crispy and not oily. It comes with a plate of chili and sweet sauces. Lady fingers serve in clear and sweet soups with some scallions.The Hakka Meats is another typical dish. Pork belly meat is cooked with fermented ''nam yu'' (red paste) and fungus. The flavour is good and the fungus is crunchy. Next, the curry fish 'Tenggir block'' taste so so only. The portion is too big for 2 person servings. In order not to waste food, we have tried finished all the fish.
